Twenty-five year sex-crimes prosecutor, Rachel Mitchell (who asked questions of both Christine Blasey Ford and Brett Kavanaugh yesterday in the Senate Judiciary Committee) reported to 51 Republican Senators last night that based upon her findings and years of experience that she would not take Ford’s testimony even near a courtroom, would not charge Kavanaugh, and would not seek a search warrant.

MARK JUDGE ISSUES LETTER

According to a newly published Fox News article, Brett Kavanaugh’s high-school friend, Mark Judge, submitted an official letter under penalty of perjury to the Senate Judiciary Committee.  The letter was released a few hours ago and was signed by Mark Judge’s attorney, Barbara Van Gelder.

Christine Blasey Ford had testified yesterday that Mark Judge was in the room during the time that Kavanaugh allegedly groped her; however, Mark Judge stated in his letter, “I do not recall the events described by Dr. Christine Blasey Ford during her testimony in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee…I never saw Brett act in the manner Dr. Ford describes.”

The lawyer went on to explain that Mark Judge does not speak publicly because he is a recovering alcoholic and a cancer survivor who has struggled with depression and anxiety.  The attorney told Judge to leave town because “he is being hounded…and is under unbelievable stress…He needed for his own health to get out of this toxic environment and take care of himself.”

WHERE THE SENATE STANDS RIGHT NOW

Senators hold a 51 – 49 majority in the full Senate.  Sens. Jeff Flake and Bob Corker are voting “yes” on Kavanaugh. Sens. Susan Collins (Maine), Lisa Murkowski (Alaska), and Mike Enzi (Wyoming) are question marks except that it looks as if Enzi will vote for Kavanaugh.

Democrat Sens. Joe Manchin (West Virginia), Heidi Heitkamp (North Dakota), and Joe Donnelly (Indiana) are all from states that voted heavily for Trump. If their constituents apply enough pressure, they may vote for confirmation of Kavanaugh.

JUDGE BRETT KAVANAUGH’S FULL OPENING STATEMENT

Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s opening statement on 9.27.18 will go down as the seminal speech of our time because it defines where our nation is right now. The vote today in the Senate Judiciary Committee and the vote next Tuesday in the full Senate will decide the future of our nation as to whether we remain a Constitutional republic where a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty by the accuser.
