A substitute teacher who was having problems getting paid was overwhelmed with emotion after students organised a collection to help him.

Though he has only been working at the Balbina Viana Arrais State School in Brejo Santo, Brazil, for just two months, Bruno Rafael Paiva struck up a rapport with the group of students.

The 28-year-old music teacher had been summoned to the school for emergency cover after a staff member had fallen seriously ill.

Bruno Rafael Paiva comes into the class but the pupils appear to be up to something

They then start to play a game of  ‘Quente Ou Frio’ (Hot or Cold) with the 28-year-old
