Two notable attacks on the sexual innocence of children took place this week: Teen Vogue‘s disgusting promotion of “the right way to do” anal sex, and a popular YouTube video in which parents tell children about masturbation, complete with sex toys.

“So, sometimes people will say ‘playing with themself,’ or ‘jerking off,’ or ‘choking the one-eyed trouser snake,'” a father tells his son, who looks to be about 8 years old. “Masturbating is when you touch your privates in different ways to make yourself feel good,” a mother tells two young ladies, who might be 8 years old and 10 years old.

The YouTube video flits backs and forth, showing five different parent-child groupings, with parents telling children about masturbation, including how-tos, discussions of how many times they masturbate, and sex toys. Many times, the parents mime the actions of sexual intercourse and masturbation to illustrate how dildos and other sex toys are used.

The children cringe and are visibly uncomfortable throughout, with one young lady putting her head in her hands multiple times.

The video has 1.2 million views and was number seven on YouTube’s trending videos section earlier this week. Despite this notoriety, the video has more than 68,000 “dislikes,” compared to only 15,000 “likes,” and most of the comments are very negative.

“The embarrassment… and the second-hand embarrassment,” reads a top comment, with 1,500 “likes.”

“Hey YouTube, Why is it okay to show these Children how to use a dildo, yet they blur it out in the video. Child porn,” another comment reads. This one had upwards of 2,000 “likes.”

“Obviously the little girl doesn’t want to hear about this, but the mom just doesn’t shut up.. I’m so disgusted. Why encourage this?” a user named Maddy Brown asked, to the tune of about 2,000 “likes.”

Another user titled the video “Parents traumatize their children.” Fitting.

Many conservatives see videos like this one, and articles like the one in Teen Vogue, as blatant attempts to sexually corrupt children. “The left wants to turn your child into a sexual deviant,” commentator Matt Walsh warned at TheBlaze.

Unfortunately, it seems that much of that fear is well-placed. Parents have protested “graphic” sex ed classes for their kids. Bill Nye’s Netflix show featured a segment encouraging all sorts of sexual deviance. Oregon has an official sex guide for teens, written by teens. Last December, National Geographic put a nine-year-old transgender girl on the cover of a magazine marketed to children.

Last month, children as young as 5 years old were exposed to the sexual gyrations of a drag queen at a grade school talent show. Oh, and a Bloomington, Indiana, library is hosting an event this month where drag queens will read to children between the ages of 2 and 6.

Schools seem to be teaching kids about sex at younger and younger ages, and the emphasis on LGBT issues has spawned children’s books focused around homosexual parents and gender identity issues.

Any idea that kids should be kids, shielded from sex, masturbation, and LGBT issues until their late teens, is mocked as prudish. Indeed, the group behind the YouTube masturbation video, Watch Cut, pinned a comment expressing shock at the negative response to the video.

“I’m shocked by the negativity in the comments,” this privileged commenter said. “I felt such shame and confusion as a child when it came to masturbation. The fact that these kids are able to openly talk about it with their parents is great. There should not be a stigma around masturbation. Every child will try it, it’s better that they have some education about it!”

Matt Walsh addressed such arguments in his article about the Teen Vogue anal sex suggestion. “I say only that it has never, until very recently, been taken for granted that kids will spend their free time performing hardcore sex acts,” Walsh noted. “Kids ‘do it anyway’ because many of the adults in their lives are incompetent, unfit, morally bankrupt clowns who expect them to do it anyway.”

“If that is your expectation, it will certainly be met. But it need not be like this. It isn’t natural,” the conservative commentator declared.

Walsh also responded to the attack that such issues are “none of my business.” He scoffed at that idea. “It is precisely ‘my business’ what these powerful cultural forces are telling my kids. The moment you open your mouth in public to promote whatever form of moral and physical self-destruction happens to get you off, you have made it my business. My kids have to exist in a culture where this garbage spews forth from practically every glowing screen and gaping mouth they come across — so yes, it very much concerns me.”

“When you use your platform to announce, ‘Hey girls, anal sex is great,’ or ‘Hey students, try masturbating,’ I’m going to treat you and your message the same as I would if you were some toothless pedophile in a trench coat whispering it to them on the playground,” Walsh declared. “I see little distinction between the two of you, except that you are trying to sexualize my children for ideological reasons and he for more personal reasons. But you’re both despicable, in any case, and your behavior is evil.”
