“Stop Being Frustrated: Take Action To Pressure U. S. Senate To Confirm Judicial Nominees”

Information sent to Donna Garner – from Judicial Crisis Network (JCN)

8.25.17

We do not have to remain frustrated, feeling inept as we watch the judicial crises in Texas.  We can take action to help move the U. S. Senate to confirm judicial nominees.

            Here’s how:

Democrats in Congress are slowing down and blocking Republican judicial nominations at an alarming paceDue to the Democrats’ interference, judicial nominations have come to a gridlock; therefore, we have an unprecedented number of open judicial seats in Texas and across the country.

Texas currently has 13 openings – 11 at the district court level and two appeals court vacancies.  Texas has such high caseloads that 9 of the 13 vacancies are been classified as “judicial emergencies.”

The article linked below from Ken Blackwell on TownHall.com lays out the problem and a potential solution:

https://townhall.com/columnists/kenblackwell/2017/08/17/the-time-has-come-for-gridlock-reform-n2369717

Will you get engaged on this issue and contact Senator John Cornyn’s office and ask him to push the judicial nominations through the Senate process faster?

Also, will you share on social media a message to Sen. Cornyn (@JohnCornyn on Twitter) and/or share the Ken Blackwell story from TownHall.com

Our effort is ramping up and the Judicial Crisis Network is spending $500,000 on a digital ad buy with a campaign-style ad to back the campaign, along with a grassroots push by Tea Party Patriots, Concerned Veterans for America, Susan B. Anthony List, and Concerned Women for America.  One of our agenda objectives is to target town halls hosted by Democratic members of Congress.

Please watch this 30 second YouTube and share it: “#GridlockReform” ad here

SUGGESTED DRAFT E-MAIL TO SEND TO SEN. JOHN CORNYN

Dear Senator Cornyn:

As you know, Democrats in Congress are slowing down and blocking Republican judicial nominations at an alarming paceDue to the Democrats’ interference, judicial nominations have come to a gridlock; therefore, we have an unprecedented number of open judicial seats in Texas and across the country.

Texas currently has 13 openings – 11 at the district court level and two appeals court vacancies.  Texas has such high caseloads that 9 of the 13 vacancies are been classified as “judicial emergencies.”

Please push through as many conservative judicial nominations as quickly as possible.  I do not have to tell you, a former Supreme Court of Texas Justice, how important this is!

Thank you for your attention to this critical matter.

Sincerely,

(Your name and contact information)
