Lansing, Michigan – Teachers and other school workers from Detroit rallied at the state capitol to oppose health care and other concessions demanded by the school district manager. The Detroit Public Schools have been run by state-appointed emergency managers for most of the past 15 years, during which enrollment has declined, class sizes have increased, and teachers have agreed to repeated concessions.
