Major news service asserted that sex is ‘not binary’

A claim by the Associated Press that sex is not binary, that is, the opinion “at AP that only two genders isn’t correct,” has drawn ridicule from a Denver Post columnist.

Who now reports he was fired for, well, sticking to the facts of science.

But that now has drawn the attention of talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh, who on Tuesday had fun at the expense of the legacy wire service that is famed for its years of exchanging stories via teletype.

The issue arose when Jon Caldara, of the Independence Institute and a columnist for the Denver Post, challenged a new mandate from AP, in its stylebook for journalists, that sex is no longer binary.

Caldara then also criticized a Colorado mandate for schools to teach children about the alternative sexual lifestyle choices that exist.
