Art, the 4th of July and a free book

Michael F. Shaughnessy –

I recently returned from presenting at a conference in Lisbon, Portugal. I spoke about the need for more art, art education, more aesthetic education, and more integration of art into the schools and the curriculum. ( My co-author Jayson Evaniuck also contributed to my paper) . Keeping in line with the 4th of July theme I have attached a link to a great American artist who has shared some of his artwork. Every once in a while a great artist comes to my attention, and I want to share his work with others- he paints on several different themes- spirituality, religion, politics, and of course America. I don’t know if he would like to be compared to Norman Rockwell, or any other artist- but you can review his work, and decide for yourself.

We do extend our warm wishes for a great 4th of July and hope that you will peruse the art work of Jon McNaughton below-
