Barack Obama a non-believer in Christ

WASHINGTON, July 20, 2013 – President Obama said that Jesus Christ is one among other sons of God.

Scripture does not agree with that; it uses the definite article “THE.”

The bible declares Jesus to be the Son of God; Obama considers Jesus Christ to be A son of God. The possibilities are three-fold: Both the Bible and Obama are wrong; the Bible only is correct; or Obama only is correct.

Both cannot be correct.

Most Christians know John 3:16, where Jesus is unambiguously declared to be the “only begotten Son” (of God). Scripture provides numerous other points of affirmation that Jesus is the only way to salvation. Jesus Himself said: “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man comes unto the Father but by Me.” (John 14:6)

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other Name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

Obama has said that Jesus Christ is his Lord and Savior. He has also said, “our individual salvation depends on collective salvation.”

Really, Mr. President?

In his letter to the Christian church at Philippi, the Apostle Paul’s instruction was diametrically opposed to what Obama said: “Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God Who works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.” (Philippians 2:12, 13)

The Apostle Paul said, “I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. For it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes.” (Romans 1:16)

Obama is a strong advocate for public assistance programs: Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT), extended unemployment payments, and other liberal objectives that overwhelmingly burden the main entity that fuels the American economy: the private sector.

Not all, but some individuals who have the physical and mental capacity to work feel it is better to stay home and collect government handouts than it would be to earn a living.

EBT and extended unemployment payments do not motivate people to become wage earners. The scriptures do not line up with Obama’s philosophy in this regard:

“Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work.” (Exodus 20:9)

“And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you.” (1 Thessalonians 4:11)

“For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.” (2 Thessalonians 3:10)

It is the responsibility of the local church, not the government, to care for those in need. Most who are in dire financial straits in America are professing Christians. Yet, most do not follow what scripture commands: Give one-tenth, a tithe, of your income to the local church.

If you only have one thin dime and call yourself a Christian, you are to give a penny to the local church.

Scripture promises the believer that he or she will become eligible for the windows of heaven to be opened unto them if they dared to believe it. “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” (Malachi 3:10)

However, that same scripture is a double-edged sword, for it says that a curse awaits those who withhold the tithe instead of giving it to the church as God commanded. The true Source for the sustenance of Christians should be God Himself; not the government.

“Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.” (Malachi 3:8, 9)

Sadly, most Christians, regardless of their financial state, do not follow this law of tithing. It is not just an Old Testament law; it is also found in the New Testament. Jesus commanded it as well in Matthew 23:23. Because the collective Christian church does not follow Jesus’ commands, the local church is usually not financially equipped to help those in need in the community.

That is why today government has stepped in to take tax dollars from unwilling participants, and shrewd politicians redistribute this money as if it were their own personal act of benevolence.

Yes, government handouts are what liberal politicians like Obama relish. But it is not what the God of the bible commands, nor is it consistent with the good news of the Gospel. Based on its entirety, one has to wonder whether or not Obama is ashamed of the Gospel.
