S. Rep. Beto O’Rourke (Democrat) is a House member from El Paso.  He has been in office since 2012.  O’Rourke won in the Texas Democrat primaries on March 6, 2018.  He is running against U. S. Sen. Ted Cruz (Republican) in the mid-term elections to be held on Nov. 6, 2018.  


In the March 6, 2018 primaries, Beto O’Rourke received 644,632 votes (61.81%) and ran against two other candidates. Ted Cruz received 1,322,724 votes (85.36%) and ran against four other candidates.




  1. On 7.18.18, O’Rourke voted in the U. S. House to abolish ICE.  By voting “nay” O’Rourke showed that he wants to abolish the U. S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE) that is responsible for removing people who enter or remain in the U. S. illegally, including dangerous criminal aliens, violent and ruthless members of MS-13 gang.  In 2017, ICE arrested more than 127,000 aliens with criminal convictions or charges.


  1. O’Rourke has received his financial support and has been rated 100% by these various special interest groups:  Planned Parenthood Action Fund, NARAL Pro-Choice America, LULAC, Human Rights Campaign (largest LGBTQ organization in the U. S.),  National Education Association, Arab American Institute, National Iranian American Council, The Public Affairs Alliance of Iranian Americans, Population Connection, American Immigration Lawyers Association, ACLU, Americans for Democratic Action, National Hispanic Leadership Agenda.




Beto O’Rourke:


DOES SUPPORT abortions – has co-sponsored legislation to increase legal abortions without restrictions, wants taxpayers to pay for women’s abortions


Voted AGAINST a ban on abortions starting at 20 weeks of pregnancy


Voted AGAINST a prohibition on federal taxpayer funding of abortions


Voted AGAINST preventing federal tax dollars from being entangled in abortion coverage under ObamaCare


Does NOT believe in repealing ObamaCare


DOES support gun-control legislation and wants to restrict the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens – has an “F” rating by NRA


Does NOT support building a wall along the Mexican border


Does NOT support requiring illegals who are in the U. S. to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for U. S. citizenship


DOES support the DREAM Act – gives legal status (chance to become permanent residents) to undocumented immigrants who were brought to the United States as children and went to school here


DOES support DACA fix – allows children brought to the U. S. illegally to receive a two-year period of deferred action from deportation — can be eligible for a work permit but does not provide a path to citizenship

    He is being touted as the next John Kennedy. If you listen to John Kennedy’s speeches from the past you would think that he was a conservative republican. Beto is not good for Texas. If you take a look at who is financing his campaign it will tell you everything you need to know about him.

    He also was one of only a handful who voted against our Iron Dome mutual project with Israel. He must be defeated.
