Obama_Mount_Mile_HighSide comments from Donna Garner:  A person named Sherece Bennett is selling a Common-Core aligned lesson presentation based upon a biography by Nikki Grimes entitled “Barrack Obama, Son of Promise, Child of Hope.”  My question to Nikki Grimes is “Where in your biography do you tell about Barrack Obama sitting at the feet of Franklin Davis, a self-professed pedophile, pot smoker, and Communist?” — 7.24.13 – “Big Mentor: On Frank Marshall Davis, the Communist” – by Paul Kengor —

I also wonder where in the biography the information in the following article is shared? —  9.11.13 – “Claim: Obama Hid ‘Gay Life’ To Become President” – by  Jerome R. Corsi – World Net Daily

As if to corroborate the above statements about Obama, the White House has created an LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) website in which Obama’s LGBT “accomplishments” are acclaimed:

Missing from Nikki Grimes’ biography of Obama and also the LGBT White House website is the latest data from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) released two days ago (11.27.13):

MSM [i.e., Men-Who-Have-Sex-With-Men] account for nearly two-thirds of new HIV infections and approximately half of the 1.1 million people nationwide living with HIV. The number of HIV infections has increased annually among MSM in recent years, particularly in young men.

…the percentage of MSM reporting unprotected anal sex at least once during the past 12 months grew to 57 percent in 2011 from 48 percent in 2005…the trend is concerning given the high risk of HIV transmission during anal sex.

Then there is this article documenting that Obama should never have been allowed to be on the Indiana ballot.  Where does Nikki Grimes tell readers about this?   4.26.13 — “Officials found guilty in Obama, Clinton ballot petition fraud” – by Eric Shawn – FoxNews.com

What about the information in two well-documented movies as described in the following article?  Did any of this factual information make it into Nikki Grimes’ biography of Barrack Obama?  “ 9.12.12 – “Two Well-Documented Movies on Obama” – by Donna Garner —

Instead, Nikki Grimes indoctrinates her young readers to believe that Obama is the “Messiah.”  Such a pack of lies meant to deceive young children…  — Donna Garner]

3rd grade lesson plan presents messianic view of Obama – literally –

Biography — “Barrack Obama, Son of Promise, Child of Hope”  by Nikki Grimes

By Kyle Olson

Excerpts from this article:

The lesson plan [Common Core-aligned] and accompanying visual presentation were authored by Sherece Bennett, and is for sale on It’s all based on a book titled, “Barack Obama: Son of Promise, Child of Hope,” by Nikki Grimes.

In one passage, a young Obama sees beggars and wonders, “Will I ever be able to help people like these?”

“Hope hung deep inside of him,” the book adds.

Another excerpt from the book [“Barrack Obama, Son of Promise, Child of Hope” by Nikki Grimes] reads: “Before dawn each morning, Barry rose – his mother’s voice driving him from dream land. ‘Time for learning English grammar and the Golden Rule. Be honest, be kind, be fair,’ she taught him.”

The story continues: “One morning, he slipped on the name he’d been born with. The name of his father, Barack. For the first time in his life, he wore it proudly – like a coat of many colors.”

Uh oh – another Obama-inspired Biblical reference in a government school! But there’s no controversy here. Leftists will use God and the Bible, in instances such as these, when it appropriately fits their propaganda purposes.

No story about Barack Obama would be complete without mentioning his work as a community organizer. The book describes those days in dramatic fashion:

“The work was grueling, with stretches of failure, and puny patches of success. Door-to-door Barack went, early mornings, late nights, pleading and preaching, coaxing strangers to march together, to make life better for everyone.

“He worked as hard as a farmer, planting the words ‘Yes, we can!’ like seeds in spring.

“Impatient, Barack kept wondering if those seeds would ever sprout. He worried that the hope in him would fade away.”

This mythical interpretation of Obama was the #1 New York Times bestselling picture-book biography of Obama [“Barrack Obama, Son of Promise, Child of Hope” by Nikki Grimes], according to

Bennett’s lesson calls for students as young as third grade to read Grimes’ book and do a number of activities, including making a collage of Obama:

“Have students bring in magazines and photos of President Obama. Have students create a collage about Barack Obama based on the information from the text. The collage should represent pictures and words about Barack Obama.”

Grimes’ book and Bennett’s lesson plan are more fitting for an authoritarian regime in which children are taught to deify and praise their dear leader. One can almost envision teachers in Cuba, Venezuela and Iran using similar books and lessons.

Thankfully, that’s not the American way, which makes these learning materials completely unsuitable for our classrooms.

Still, given the large number of activist teachers in the U.S., there’s a very real possibility this is the version of Barack Obama’s history many of our young students are learning in a school near you.
