Common Core is setting our students back

Are you going to help the next generation?

Right now, signatures are being collected for a 2016 ballot question to stop Massachusetts from adhering to the national Common Core educational standards.

Common Core emerged from President George W. Bush’s No Child Left Behind education reform that tied federal funding to mandatory standardized testing. It is the Obama administration’s one-size-fits-all education approach which has teachers and parents united in opposition for this ballot question.

This battle is not about testing and standards. It is about lowering to the federal level.
