Cuomo’s 15-member task force will be led by former Citigroup and Time Warner Chairman Richard Parsons and includes American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten, new state Education Commissioner MaryEllen Elia and a selection of teachers, parents and school officials from around the state.

“It is time to overhaul the Common Core program and also the way we test our students,” the governor said in a video released Monday.
