Boston Herald editorial staff – The standards reek of liberal politics. For example, they assert that teachers can “debate the underlying and proximate causes of environmental catastrophes arising from pesticide use and offshore oil drilling.” Problems, yes, but the wild exaggeration “catastrophe” reveals the bias of advocates.

    Do these folks mean to say that the Deep Horizon disaster was anything less than a catastrophe? BP could have prevented the event had they purchased and installed a valve that is REQUIRED on off shore wells by the Europeans.
