Former Fox News host Megyn Kelly withdraws kids from school over social justice memo

Megyn Kelly, the former Fox News anchor and NBC daytime host, said that she removed her two children from an Upper West Side private school in New York City after the school expressed a “woke” agenda. Syracuse.com reported that Kelly was planning on leaving the city after dealing with left-wing indoctrination for years.

On her podcast, “The Megyn Kelly Show,” Kelly told listeners that she withdrew her two sons after faculty members allegedly circulated an internal memo related to the death of George Floyd in police custody. Kelly said that the all-boys Collegiate School in Manhattan, which costs $59,000 a year in tuition and other fees, had “gone off the deep end.”

She said, “After years of resisting it, we’re going to leave the city.” Kelly continued, “The schools have always been far-left, which doesn’t align with my own ideology, but I didn’t really care, most of my friends are liberals, it’s fine. I come from a Democrat family, I’m not offended at all by the ideology, and I lean center-left on some things.”

Kelly concluded, “But they’ve gone around the bend… I mean, they have gone off the deep end.”

The memo, written by education activist Nahliah Webber this past June, said, “There is a killer cop sitting in every school where white children learn.” The memo claimed that police officers “gleefully soak in their whitewashed history that downplays the holocaust of indigenous native peoples and Africans in the Americas.” It added, “They happily believe their all-white spaces exist as a matter of personal effort and willingly use violence against black bodies to keep those spaces white.”

Webber added other inflammatory dialogue:

“I am tired of white people reveling in their state-sanctioned depravity, snuffing out black life with no consequences. Where’s the urgency for school reform for white kids being indoctrinated in black death and protected from the consequences? Where are the government-sponsored reports looking into how white mothers are raising culturally deprived children who think black death is okay?”

The aforementioned memo was circulated in the Collegiate School’s diversity group, which Kelly found to be offensive.

Kelly did not specifically say where her family will move, but that she will also withdraw her daughter from a different private school in New York City.
