WONDERFUL NEWS:  Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on 10.11.21 issued an Executive Order (GA-40) that states “No entity in Texas can compel receipt of a COVID-19 vaccine by any individual, including an employee or a consumer, who objects to such vaccination for any reason of personal conscience, based on a religious belief, or for medical reasons, including prior recovery from COVID-19.”

A person who does not comply with this Executive Order will face a fine. This Executive Order is to “ensure that local officials do not impose restrictions in response to the COVID-19 disaster that are inconsistent with this executive order.”

Gov. Abbott has also asked the Texas Legislature (which is in the midst of its Third Special Session ending on 10.19.21) to pass legislation that would enforce this Executive Order.  Southwest Airlines and American Airlines are based in Texas.

“In yet another instance of federal government overreach, the Biden Administration is now bullying many private entities into imposing COVID-19 vaccine mandates, causing workforce disruptions that threaten Texas’s continued recovery from the COVID-19 disaster,” Abbott said in his order.

The Texas Legislature has already passed a law banning vaccine passports and any efforts by businesses to require customers to produce proof of vaccination.
