Introduction:

XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) is a national level entrance exam organized by XLRI, Jamshedpur for admissions to management programmes at XLRI and other XAT participating institutes. It is an online exam. The XAT exam is going to be held on January 5, 2020.

Exam pattern:

The aggregate marks in XAT exam are 99 for 99 questions divided into four sections. The correct answer will be awarded +1 mark each and for each wrong answer -0.25 marks will be deducted. The duration of XAT 2020 is 3 hours.

The XAT exam can be cracked by following the tips given below:

  • The candidates should first familiar with the exam pattern, like the number of sections, topics covered in the sections, type of questions, etc.
  • In verbal and logical ability section, reading comprehension and critical reasoning are the important ones.
  • The Verbal and logical ability section is designed to test the candidate’s comprehensive skills and use of appropriate words in the context.
  • The candidates have to build the word power and understand the use of them in the proper context.
  • Read newspapers, magazines, novels for improving language skills.
  • Practice reading passages quickly focusing on the important words and phrases.
  • Solve the grammar questions and arrange the lines logically.
  • Decision making, is one of the key skills in B-schools for testing students testing potential.
  • Decision making and analytical skills are tested by this section. It’s a mix of behavioural, mathematics, and managerial questions.
  • Solve many problems in the DM section to without been biased
  • In general awareness or GK section, the candidate’s awareness of the current situations is tested.
