Among many other important issues, here are several agenda items of particular concern to the public:   

 

Tues. — 9:00 A. M.  — discussion of the present Math TEKS and the problems with the inclusion of the Common Core-compliant wording of “mathematical process standards” — invited witnesses to present — no public testimony

 

Tues. – 11:00 A. M. – discussion of Proclamation 2017 including Mexican-American studies textbook produced by former SBOE member Cynthia Dunbar — oral testimony from the public limited to 2 minutes per person — [ 9.9.16 — “Battle Brewing at SBOE Meeting Over Mexican-American Textbook” – by Donna Garner – EdViews.org —

Wed. –  discussion of the revisions made to the newly proposed English / Language Arts / Reading TEKS – no action to be taken —
