Tips to study and score good marks in class 6th Science.

The first and the most important tip to score good marks is to study regularly and with full understanding and concentration.

Study plan

Students of class 6th will be at their tender age where they would not be very serious to put the efforts which are required. Parents have to help them in making the day-wise timetable and distribute the chapters so they can follow and study accordingly. Segregate the chapters, the easier ones and the complex ones. Try to allot more time to the complex chapters. Let the child have enough time to understand without any stress.

Reading the chapters

Make them read the chapters once or twice. Ask them the questions in between the chapters. This will help you to know the child’s understanding. After this, you can proceed further or if you feel the understanding is lacking then explain to the child with examples or some videos to make it interesting. You can always make science interesting by explaining with examples from our daily life. This will help the child to remember in a very nice way.

At this age, children usually tend to forget what they have learnt if not revised. So make sure whenever they will start their studies the next day just brush them up by asking a few questions to get the continuity and also to make sure that the past is not forgotten and the present stays in the mind.

Practise writing

Make the child write whatever has been studied and make them read whatever they have written. This is also a method of revising and at the same time, helping them with writing practise. Practise this habit for all the chapters.

Breaks in between

Study breaks are important for everyone. Do not pressurise the child for long hours of study. Give a break in between the study, make a healthy snack so the child gets motivated and gets into the study mood.

Test after each chapter

Once the child completes the chapter, test the capability and the progress by giving a small test with the questions like fill in the blanks, short questions, true or false. This helps to know how well the child can answer. Follow the method after every chapter.

Solving the sample papers

Once the whole syllabus is completed, you can give the sample question paper to solve so the child will be familiar with the exam pattern. This also will help in picking up the speed. Solving 3 to 4 papers will make your child thorough and confident.

You can refer to class 6th science NCERT Solutions for the chapters and the answers which are very comprehensive.
