Michele Bachmann for President

I have not written much about the Republican Presidential candidates since Herman Cain was broadsided by “the perfect storm” of unfounded allegations, hearsay, and downright character assassination. Unfortunately, we Republicans lost our A+ candidate.

I needed some time to think and analyze each of the other candidates to see who would be best to lead our country and who has the best chance of getting elected. I have read many well-researched articles and listened and talked to people whom I trust.

Our choice is Michele Bachmann for President. She is a strong “A” candidate and certainly can beat Obama.

Below, I have posted excerpts from various articles and have listed the candidates in descending order with the ones I believe to be the worst choices at the bottom of the page.

Each voter in our country must make his own choice when he goes into the voting booth, but perhaps the information given below will be helpful in making that choice.

As we make our choice for President of the United States, we all need to remember a statement made by one of my dear friends, “I have never yet seen a RINO (Republican-in-Name-Only) who will stand up to the Democrats.”

I love the way Michele confronts political doublespeak head on. For instance, in last night’s debate, when Newt Gingrich tried to convince voters that he was not a lobbyist for Freddie Mac, Bachmann countered with a common-sense argument that everybody in America could understand?

It’s the fact that we know that he [Newt Gingrich] cashed paychecks from Freddie Mac. That is the best evidence that you can have: over $1.6 million…The evidence is that Speaker Gingrich took $1.6 million. You don’t need to be within the technical definition of being a lobbyist to still be influence peddling with senior Republicans in Washington, D.C., to get them to do your bidding.

Today the chief executives with government-backed mortgage giant Freddie Mac were indicted by the SEC for securities fraud that happened during the years when Newt was being paid $1.6 million (1999-2007) to sell his fellow Republicans on Freddie Mac’s subprime loan scheme (high-risk loans).

Michele has such a well-defined moral compass that she has the courage to confront those who mislead, and that is exactly what our Republican candidate must be able to do when debating Obama in the run-up to the General Election.

We don’t need a philosophical, theoretical, professor-style discussion between Newt and Obama; we need a person such as Michele Bachmann who will have the courage to confront Obama and not try to “play nice” when she lays out the despicable actions he has taken since becoming President that have put America’s future at peril.

I believe that this country is crying out for real leadership, someone who recognizes good from evil, someone who has walked a life reflecting servanthood, and someone who is committed to follow the God-ordained Constitutional principles upon which our nation is founded.

Michele Bachmann is an outspoken conservative; but because she “means what she says and says what she means,” the voters in Minnesota have elected her to public office continuously since 2000; and Minnesota is not known as a Republican state! It is obvious that many moderates, independents, and even Democrats have voted for Bachmann; and there is no reason why she cannot command the same respect by the voters across this country in the run against Obama.

To her credit, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann recently signed The Marriage Vow: The Declaration of Dependence Upon Marriage and Family. Presidential candidates who sign the Pledge agree, among other principles, to appoint “faithful constitutionalists” as judges, oppose any redefinition of marriage, and the reform of un-economic and anti-marriage welfare/tax/divorce policies.

Please add to Congresswoman Bachmann’s record her firm stance in support of common-sense, pro-life, pro-marriage, pro-healthy-America legislation.

12.15.11 — “Conservatives Taken in by Newt Gingrich” — by Janet Levy

Many conservative Jews have been taken in by Newt Gingrich. He’s a great talker but has never walked the walk.

Although Gingrich has flip-flopped on most issues, he has mostly remained steadfast in his support for Israel. (After a stint of embracing Arafat, he has seemed to recognize Israel’s position). However, his close friendships with Muslim Brotherhood operative Grover Norquist and Nation of Islam-ally Al Sharpton, who accused Peter King of profiling and Islamophobia for holding hearings on radical Islam in America, are suspect.

Of course, Norquist has been closely affiliated with Islamists (Suhail Kahn, Abdurahman Alamoudi, Sami Al-Arian), accepted money from Alamoudi for his (Norquist’s) Islamic Institute, married a Muslim Arab-Palestinian and refused to state whether or not he had converted to Islam, brought radical Islamists into the Clinton and Bush White Houses, denied Dutch MP and stalwart counterjihadist Geert Wilders a forum at CPAC and overruled any discourse about jihad at recent CPAC conventions.

As far as being good on China or trade in general is concerned, in 1998, Gingrich voted for Most Favored Nation status with China and enabled China’s entry into the World Trade Organization. China has since absorbed American jobs, flooded the U.S. with cheap goods and built up its Treasury to become a grave military threat.

Previously, Newt voted for NAFTA and GATT. GATT established the WTO, which has final authority over American economic interests (greater authority for the World Bank and IMF). GATT has even reduced the amount of money that Americans can save for pensions. The Constitution forbids external control of the U.S. economy and mandates that Congress controls American trade.

Gingrich has been labeled an internationalist (NWO advocate), not a constitutionalist as well as a pseudo-intellectual. In 1974, during the Cold War, Newt recommended disarmament programs and U.N. military forces. He is not a champion of limited government as mandated by the Constitution. He has advocated for a ‘strong but limited’ federal government. This isn’t possible. The Founders wanted a weak federal government so that individual rights would be protected.

To Reagan’s great consternation, Gingrich voted to create a federal Department of Education. In other words, the replacement of local control of education (the Constitution) with central control (the better to indoctrinate).

Gingrich also voted to designate 68 million acres of mineral rich land in Alaska as a federally protected wilderness and to transfer 2.2 million acres in Idaho to Federal Wilderness land control. Centralized education and government control over land are Marxist concepts and not supported by the U.S. Constitution.

Is this the “push back” you want in the next American president? It sounds like same old, same old……..

11.10.11 — “Newt Gingrich Has a Character Problem” — by Donna Garner

In the debates, Newt also knows how to keep his fellow Republicans from attacking him and his past by playing the role of the “good cop.” The other Republican candidates would look really bad if they attacked Newt since he has been so “kind” to them; therefore, they have been forced to ignore his unsavory life experiences and examples of poor judgment.

9.13.11 — “The Truth: Rick Perry’s Tuition for Illegals” – by Donna Garner —

At one point in a prior debate, Gov. Perry said that the Texas Education Agency was doing the verification [for the illegals]; but then a spokesperson from the Agency made it clear that their job is to oversee only primary and secondary public schools — not students who are in colleges/universities.

Then when Texas college admission officials were asked if they do the verification duties, the higher-end officials said they do not check to see that these illegals are pursuing permanent residency because there is nothing in HB 1403 that requires them to do so.

Bottom line: “Nobody is minding the store.”

8.15.11 — “The Good and the Bad About Gov. Perry” by Donna Garner –

Fethullah Gulen is an Islamist imam who believes in Sharia law. His follows have recently orchestrated a coup in Turkey; and this country, unbeknown to most of the U. S. media, has now fallen into the hands of the Islamists. This is a very serious situation because Turkey is a member of NATO and has the second largest military.

Gulen himself lives in the United States (Pennsylvania), and he and his followers are attempting to indoctrinate our American school children into Islam through an entire network of charter schools using our taxpayers’ dollars to do it.

Here in Texas we have 36 Gulen/Cosmos Foundation/Harmony Charter Schools, yet where has Gov. Perry been on this issue? Where was he when a group of clear-thinking citizens tried to get the Texas legislature to require all charter schools to adopt three safeguards: proof of citizenship for all charter school board members and the top five highest-paid administrators (public ISD trustees must be U. S. citizens); names, titles, and biographies posted online for all charter operator board members and the top 5 highest-paid administrators; and check registers publicly posted online just as so many other school districts have done.

A gaping loophole in state insurance rules that lets freeloaders pick up coverage to pay for expensive surgeries — and then dump it once they’re treated — has cost taxpayers as much as $37 million a year, according to a study that warns the same wrinkle in Obamacare could add a staggering $2 billion a year to the deficit-wracked federal budget.

10.11.11 — “Obama White House Used RomneyCare As Blueprint for ObamaCare” – by Bryan Preston —

The records, gleaned from White House visitor logs reviewed by NBC News, show that senior White House officials had a dozen meetings in 2009 with three health-care advisers and experts who helped shape the health care reform law signed by Romney in 2006, when the Republican presidential candidate was governor of Massachusetts. One of those meetings, on July 20, 2009, was in the Oval Office and presided over by President Barack Obama, the records show…Romney himself touted the historic significance of the act. ‘Massachusetts once again is taking a giant leap forward,’ he said at the signing ceremony…Since RomneyCare’s passage, the plan has cost far more than expected, health care costs have risen sharply, government has grown while liberty contracted, and by one estimate, RomneyCare cost the state of Massachusetts 18,000 jobs.

Huntsman is definitely not our choice. He is what he is. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth (father is a billionaire), believes in civil unions, supported cap and trade, is a Mormon, and was enough of a left-leaning moderate to be named by Obama as an ambassador.

Quote from Huntsman: “To be clear. I believe in evolution and trust scientists on global warming. Call me crazy.” (comments from Donna Garner, 11.18.11)

To any logical thinking person, Ron Paul scares us to death.

America still does not know for sure what brought our U. S. drone down in Iran this week. An Iranian engineer yesterday said that Iran has captured enough information about the way our drones are made to be able to “spoof” the GPS signals, making our drone land undamaged this week in Iranian territory.

To make matters worse, Obama further weakened our American position by asking Iran to “Pretty please, give us back our drone.” How did the Iranians answer his self-effacing plea? Almost immediately they demonstrated their newly gained feeling of empowerment by announcing to the world that they just might close the Strait of Hormuz to oil tanker traffic. The Strait of Hormuz is vital to American interests in Iraq and Saudi Arabia.

Even knowing all of this week’s troubling events with Iran, Ron Paul still said last night that there is “no hard evidence of an imminent nuclear weapon [in Iran}.”

To this idiotic remark, Michelle Bachmann countered strongly, “I think I have never heard a more dangerous answer for American security than the one we just heard from Ron Paul…. And the reason why I would say that is because we know without a shadow of a doubt Iran will take a nuclear weapon, they will use it to wipe our ally Israel off the face of the map. And they’ve stated that they will use it against the United States of America…Look no further than the Iranian constitution, which states unequivocally that their mission is to extend jihad across the world and eventually to set up a worldwide caliphate. We would be fools and knaves to ignore their purpose and their plan.”

12.11.11 — “Comments on Ron Paul” – by Donna Garner — http://libertylinked.com/posts/9059/mark-levin-compares-ron-paul/View.aspx

Ron Paul would put our country in eminent danger. He thinks it is only fair to give Iran the nuclear bomb. I absolutely do not agree with him on his isolationist beliefs, and I believe instead in “peace through strength.”

He has been called “Dr. No” in Congress because he never votes “for” anything, even the really good bills. He has been completely ineffective as a Congressman. As a physician, he should have been the one to lead out in Congress to help move our public schools into the teaching of abstinence-until-marriage. Instead, he has been “the voice of silence” while STD’s have become an epidemic in our country.

Ron Paul is not a leader in the pro-life movement nor was he a trusted voice in Congress against ObamaCare.

Because he is so far out, Congressmen do not listen to him. He could not possibly lead our country.

9.30.11 — “Ron Paul Stuck in Denial Land” – by Donna Garner — http://libertylinked.com/posts/8503/ron-paul-stuck-in-denial-land/View.aspx

Ron Paul is out of step with conservative Republicans. He thought Al-Alwaki should have been given a trial in an American court instead of being considered a war criminal and killed with a drone.

Ron Paul believes in allowing Iran to have its own nuclear bomb and portrays Iran as being bullied by America.

Paul also said he would not have ordered the killing of Osama bin Laden.
