“Never a Dull Moment When Alice Linahan Speaks”

by Donna Garner –

This week in Longview, Texas, concerned citizens put together a roundtable meeting to discuss the internal and external hazards to education in Texas and the United States.

Alice Linahan was the first speaker, and her compelling presentation covered CSCOPE, Common Core Standards, Race to the Top, 21st Century Learning, transformational learning, curriculum management systems, college-and-career readiness standards, Thomas Ratliff and his bogus Texas Ethics Commission complaint against Alice Linahan, green/yellow/red people, etc.

Nobody can be bored while listening to Alice Linahan speak because she brings in real-life examples and personal experiences from her own family and from grassroots citizens.

Because private citizens were doing the videotaping, the three YouTube links below are perhaps not top-quality videography; but they exhibit refreshing transparency and honesty.

If you want to know what is happening in our Texas schools and in schools around this nation that will impact the entire future of our nation, please take the time to watch these three YouTube segments.

Alice Linahan’s presentation starts in Segment #1 at marker 2:19.  (Please ignore the few interruptions and be patient when a brief taped audioclip is played that is somewhat difficult to hear.)

[There is a videography lapse at the end of Pt. 2 of 3 in which Alice Linahan explained that David Coleman was the lead writer of the Common Core Standards for English & Literacy in History, Social Studies, Science, and Technology Subjects. David Coleman has never taught a day in his life in K-12, yet he has been allowed to decide what students in schools throughout America should learn. Coleman has also used the patronage from the Obama administration to move himself into the presidency of The College Board and has stated that the SAT and Advanced Placement exams will be aligned to the Common Core Standards. – Donna Garner]

[Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst and other politicians were also invited guests at the meeting.]
