At nine years old, Annabel Yue from Hong Kong discovered gender disparity first-hand on the football pitch when she realised boys did not pass her the ball despite the fact that she was often open to score and not unmarked by opposing players.

Annabel tackled the problem with her writing skills to create her fourth book, Selina the Football Girl.

Following the trend set with her previous books, all net profits will from her latest work will go to charity – this time a sports-based foundation which  encourages more young girls to train to play football in Hong Kong.
