This particular meta-analysis on COVID is very important because it verifies length of infection. A highly qualified medical doctor sent me his summary:

This is a meta-analysis of existing information on viral shedding. I think the important findings are twofold:

  • There was no documented shedding of live virus beyond the ninth day of symptomatic clinical course (i.e., infected individuals are not infectious beyond the 9th day).
  • Asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic infected individuals with COVID have a lower viral load and shed less virus.
