The next generation of Texas professionals may be too busy

The next generation of Texas professionals will have to climb a major hurdle to find success.

More than half of Texas’ college students are graduating with crippling debt, a study by a nonprofit higher education research group The Institute for College Access & Success finds.

Researchers said that 56 percent of Texas’ college students will graduate with an average debt size of $26,292.

Anthony ONeal, author of “The Graduate Survival Guide: 5 Mistakes You Can’t Afford to Make in College,” advises all college students to only use cash and a debit card. He explains why getting into credit card debit as a student could have long-ranging impacts. He talks about where college students are spending their money on campus, and how they can can leave college debt-free.
