This education review notes a dearth of public information for the next international convocation of the Summits on the Teaching Profession. Unlike the First and Second International Summits held March 16-17, 2011 and March 14-15, 2012 in New York City with early announcement of “Improving Teacher Quality Around the World” and ” Preparing Teachers and Developing School Leaders” themes respectively, the Third Summit’s agenda has not been released in the prior year. Statements of theme and program for the upcoming Amsterdam meeting have not been posted at leading United States and international education organization websites. This lack of timely public information may be an important loss for any nation interested in strengthening fundamental beliefs and practices of education, critical to international R&D status. Consistency of international publicity and without question, international prestige, argues for better and more timely dissemination of information about so important an issue as changing education standards.
