“Trump Lawyer Puts Reporter in Her Place”

By Donna Garner

2.14.21

We who genuinely love America and believe in the importance of truth need a way to release our pent-up frustrations.  We need to vent our emotions vicariously, and Michael van der Veen gives us that opportunity in this video by the way he puts this reporter in her place.

Mr. van der Veen was part of the Trump legal team that scored a huge victory on 2.12.21 when the Former President was acquitted in the impeachment trial by a Senate vote of 57 – 43.

The video is only a little over 20 minutes long, but the best part starts at marker 2:21 when the ill-informed reporter is put in her place.  You will love it as the interview progresses:

The thing that is not humorous at all is that Mr. van der Veen’s Philadelphia home was attacked last night. The word “traitor” and filthy words were spray painted numerous places on his property; windows were broken; and other acts of vandalism were committed.  Threats were made against his family and against him personally.  His law firm is “under siege.”  All of this has happened because he agreed to represent Former President Trump.

Mr. van der Veen is not a vengeful man.  He has stated that he genuinely wants our country to heal and to stop the illegal and abusive violence that is being perpetrated against anyone who has the courage to stand for truth and justice.

We owe him and the other members of the Trump impeachment team a debt of gratitude for being willing to take personal abuse for doing the right thing.

After the acquittal, Trump expressed his gratitude to his many supporters and pointed out that Democrats are “given a free pass to denigrate the rule of law, defame law enforcement, cheer mobs, excuse rioters, and transform justice into a tool of political vengeance, and persecute, blacklist, cancel and suppress all people and viewpoints with whom or which they disagree…I always have, and always will, be a champion for the unwavering rule of law, the heroes of law enforcement, and the right of Americans to peacefully and honorably debate the issues of the day without malice and without hate.”

As a reminder to us voters, let’s never forget who the seven Republican “traitors” were who voted to impeach Trump (and, of course, all the Dems):

Sens. Richard Burr of North Carolina

Bill Cassidy of Louisiana

Susan Collins of Maine

Lisa Murkowski of Alaska

Mitt Romney of Utah

Ben Sasse of Nebraska

Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania

Even if some of these people choose not to run for re-election, we can certainly make them feel unwelcome in their hometowns; and if they do decide to run, we can dump them in the primaries.
