What Did We Know Was in ObamaCare When It Was Passed

With time, the American public has forgotten the details of ObamaCare; and it has only been since the miserable roll-out of the health exchanges on Oct. 1, 2013 that people have begun to pay attention to what was actually in the ObamaCare bill.

On 12.29.09, I wrote and published The Horror of This Healthcare Bill, updated it regularly throughout the final passage of ObamaCare, and continued to update it through 8.10.12.  (*Unfortunately, not all of the URL’s may still be active).

Here is the article that I wrote:  “The Horror of This Healthcare Bill” – by Donna Garner – Published originally on 12.29.09 with updates through 8.10.12 —  http://educationviews.org/the-horror-of-this-healthcare-bill/

Then on 9.16.13, I sent out an article entitled “ObamaCare Information All on One Page” –http://educationviews.org/obamacare-info-all-on-one-page/ — to provide easy-to-access documentation for the American public.

Today, I want to help all of us to remember what has occurred during the last few months leading up to the ObamaCare roll-out on Oct. 1, 2013. My goal is to make sure that the American public is not deceived by Obama, the pundits, politicians, and liberal media but that all of us know the facts.

“Holding Senators Accountable for ObamaCare”

by Donna Garner

Because the roll-out of ObamaCare continues to be such a total disaster, many of the Senators who refused to stand with Sen. Ted Cruz (and 17 other Senators) on 10.16.13 are scared that the voting public will remember exactly who they are.

It was the 83 Senators listed below who allowed ObamaCare to go forward, and it is they who should be held accountable now and in all upcoming elections.

I knew these 83 Senators would try to put a spin on their bad decision once the horrors of ObamaCare were revealed.  I knew they would most likely “pound their chests” and increase the decibels of their rhetoric against ObamaCare once the realities hit the American people. Sure enough, the Senate hearings are full of bold statements made by the very Senators who refused to stand firmly against ObamaCare when they had the chance.

Instead of actually DOING something assertively to stand with Sen. Cruz and the other 17 Senators who tried to defund/delay/change/stop ObamaCare, the 83 Senators chose to follow Obama and his leftist ideology and/or chose the cowardly path.

I made sure that I documented the voting record of these Senators so that we would not forget.  We can keep this handy as we listen to the 83 Senators try to obfuscate their way out of responsibility, and we can take this list with us into the voting booths in 2014 and 2016.

Excerpts from my article:

UPDATE ON 10.17.13 – Now we are finding out that $3 Billion in pork barrel spending projects were hidden in HR 2775, the bill that was passed by Congress last night.  Not only is our national debt still almost $17 Trillion [is past the $17 Trillion mark now] but also no major provisions were put into the bill that pertain to Obamacare.  Nothing got passed that would diminish the medical device tax; Congress and their staffs will still get subsidies for their healthcare while the individual mandate is in place for the rest of us.

One of the worst aspects of HR 2775 is that Congressmen wormed their pet projects into the bill:  Congressional spending for the Ohio River dam project was quadrupled to nearly $3 Billion, and Frank Lautenberg’s widow was given $174,000 even though he was one of the 50 richest men in Congress!

As the blight of Obamacare and the $17 Trillion national debt fall upon our land in the coming days, those 18 Congressmen who voted against the debt ceiling bill (HR 2775) will be looked upon as heroes.

[10.6.13 – This shutdown is “owned” by Obama and Harry Reid.  Below are the conciliatory steps that the House Republicans have taken to try to resolve the shutdown of the government. It is easy to see that the Democrats want this shutdown because they are trying to blame it on the Republican House members. The Dems think the American people will be stupid enough to accept their lies.  Not so.  The following chronological list proves that the Republicans are the ones who are trying to stop the government shutdown while at the same time trying to defund and/or delay the greatest “train wreck” ever to hit our nation – Obamacare.  It is the Dems and Obama who have refused to negotiate.

Again, this is another e-mail that we need to keep handy for the elections of 2014.
