Wisdom from the Past
Michael F. Shaughnessy –

Every once in a while I encounter what might be called a ” blast from the past” but in this case it is not music- it is simply a commentary from a revered journalist from past times. But it is as relevant today as it was in his time. Some of you may remember this fellow:
“We
all have our likes and our dislikes. But… when we’re doing news –
when we’re doing the front-page news, not the back page, not the op-ed
pages, but when we’re doing the daily
news, covering politics – it is our duty to be sure that we do not
permit our prejudices to show. That is simply basic journalism.”
– Walter Cronkite
